I want to look great on the beach
You won't look or feel comfortable in a swimsuit if you're overweight or out of shape. So it's important to have a good healthy programme (eating and exercising) that includes a mix of resistance work for toning, aerobic work for fat burning and a really good abdominal routine to get your stomach flat, firm and toned. A training programme done 12-6 weeks prior to your holiday is the ideal time to drop weight and feel your best for the beach.
I want to lose my baby weight
When having a baby you experience massive physical and emotional
changes and so it's important to start slowly. Whether it is for pre-
or post natal fitness, your body cannot be over-exerted. Remember you
are/were holding extra weight for you and your baby. It's been gained
over period of months so don't expect it to come straight off!
Do not go into a strict or crash diet you need to rebuild the nutrients in
the body which help balance your hormone levels. Working with us, we
can support you as you return your body to its pre-baby shape. Some
clients even look better!
I want to feel more energised
Lots of people do not exercise because of lack of energy, and are
constantly fatigued. This could be due to inactive lifestyle, poor
diet, not enough fluid in the body, poor stamina or flagging
willpower.
By strengthening your whole body, losing your excess fat
and increasing your flexibility, your energy levels will rise. You
will have better utilisation as fat as fuel, increase the blood supply
to the heart and have improved heart/lung function. Thus you will feel
more energised throughout your day and will no longer need those extra
hours in bed.
I want to fit into my old clothes again
Clients that regularly train with us lose body fat, weight and inches, helping them to fit back into the dress or jeans that they haven't worn for years. Some clients complain of having to go and buy even smaller clothes than before!
I want to feel less stressed
Regular exercise has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and insomnia. Exercise can improve self-esteem, reduce weight and give an all-round sense of well being. It helps us absorb and burn off the excess adrenaline that can lead to symptoms such as sweating and shakiness. Additionally, exercise promotes the production of endorphins. These natural anti-depressants lead to a sense of calm and well-being.
I want to run a marathon
Running a marathon is very strenuous on the body so you must prepare correctly for the event, or the run could result in failure or even long-term injury. Using our training programme you will benefit by strengthening joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. You will have a better tolerance of lactic acid, and will improve and increase your v02 max (the maximum amount of oxygen you take in, transport and utilise). With an enhanced endurance and stronger core, you will certainly see the benefits in your marathon.
I want to tone my legs, bum and tum
A combination of of good diet, aerobic training, resistance and weight bearing exercises will help tone the particular areas you are trying to work. The body needs to be worked as a whole as you can not spot-reduce, but we do better - we can help you reduce body fat all over.

I want to ease my back pain and strengthen up my core
Back pain is very common because so many muscles must to contract and relax in order to stand and move.Tendons attach muscles to bones, ligaments hold your vertebrae together and muscles protect your spine and hold your body in place. If all of these are healthy and strong then you will not experience problems. BUT, if you have weak or imbalanced muscles, pore posture or excess weight your back will be one of the first places you will feel the strain.
I want to learn how to exercise correctly
Exercising incorrectly can lead to long term back problems or result in injury. It is very important to exercise correctly to be certain you will not injure yourself, and to make sure your muscles are getting the full benefits of your training and your not just wasting effort and time. Training with the Ellis Stockwell programme you'll learn how to exercise correctly and safely, and in a way that will maximise your benefits.
